Serving Opportunities
Throughout our first year, Christ City Church has actively served our community by partnering with ministries that address food insecurity and provide compassionate care for those in need. As we expand our outreach, we are committed not only to addressing those needs, but also to confronting the root causes of hunger and homelessness with dignity, mercy, and lasting hope. Crossfire Ministries– Every other month, volunteers from Christ City Church serve on Saturdays at Crossfire Ministries’ no-cost grocery store. During Thanksgiving week, we also assist with preparing food boxes and delivering them to the cars of clients. Throughout the year, church members donate food, hygiene products, clothing, and household items to support this ministry. During one of our Day of Service events, volunteers completed a special hygiene project by filling 256 bottles with dish soap for distribution to Crossfire clients.
Care and Share– Through the Green Tote Bag Program, our congregation has donated more than 2,000 pounds of food to Sunny Side Market, a Care and Share partner that helps address food insecurity in Colorado Springs. Three times each year, green tote bags are distributed to collect non-perishable food items from our church family.
CCC Community Garden– The Christ City Church Garden exists to cultivate more than vegetables – it cultivates hope, relationships, and opportunties to serve our community. As a key part of our focus on reducing food insecurity, we grow fresh produce to bless families in need while creating opportunities for people of all ages to serve together and build meaningful relationships. Looking ahead, we are excited to launch Victory Gardens throughout our community, equipping families to grow food, share their harvest with neighbors, and multiply the impact of this ministry far beyond our church campus.
More Than a Meal– On the first Saturday of every month, Christ City Church provides volunteers who prepare and serve breakfast to individuals experiencing homelessness. Throughout the year, we also collect winter clothing and hygiene items to distribute to those we serve.

EVENTS
Day of Service- Each year, we host a Day of Service following worship. This event brings together people of all ages to fellowship while participating in hands-on projects that benefit our local community.
Lifeline Meal Packing – CCC is partnering with Lifeline Christian Mission to bring a meal-packing event to our church on October 25th. This event will be held after the church service for roughly one and a half to two hours. This opportunity is for all ages, and we will need 50-60 volunteers. The meals packed will go to fight global hunger in either Haiti or Honduras.
